VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION

VENUE
The meeting will be held at Philipps-Universitšt. Except for the opening lecture which will take place in the lecture hall of the old University all other lectures and poster sessions will take place in the central lecture hall building of the University in the centre of Marburg. The lecture hall building is located next to Biegenstrasse 10, where the University administration is.

This university is the oldest protestant university in the world and was founded in 1527 as a Protestant institution. It has been a place of research and teaching for nearly five centuries. There are nearly 22,000 students studying in Marburg, 12% from all over the world. Almost all scientific disciplines, with the exception of the engineering sciences, are represented at Philipps-Universitšt Marburg.

REGISTRATION
The registration desk will be open on Friday 30 March from 14.00 until 18.00 and during the entire Congress. Delegates must check in at the registration desk for registration.

TRAVEL Arrival by Plane Destination Airport: Frankfurt / Main (international airport)

If you arrive at Terminal 1: . Pick up your luggage on the arrivals level

Follow the signs to the Regional Train Station (Regionalbahnhof)

Buy a train ticket to Marburg / Lahn (€20 max.) in the Travel Center (Reisezentrum)

Take the S-Bahn to Frankfurt Main Train Station ("Hauptbahnhof") (approx. 10 min.) . Change trains to go to Marburg

If you arrival at Terminal 2: . Pick up luggage on the arrivals level

Take the "Skyline" or the direct shuttle bus to the airport train stations

Buy a train ticket to Marburg / Lahn (€20 max.) in the Travel Center (Reisezentrum)

Take the S-Bahn to Frankfurt Main Train Station ("Hauptbahnhof") (approx. 10 min.)

Change trains to go to Marburg

The train journey from Frankfurt's Main Train Station ("Hauptbahnhof") to Marburg Hauptbahnhof lasts about one hour. Trains to Marburg go every hour (at about 20 minutes past the hour), but are operated alternately by Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV, a local network) and by Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB). Tickets for one cannot be used on the other.

Do not travel without a valid ticket! Please do not leave the train at the Marburg South stop ("Marburg Süd"), but continue on to the next stop, which is the Marburg Lahn Main Train Station ("Hauptbahnhof")!
